Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in daily living activities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
- Transport clients to appointments, community outings, and activities as needed
- Advocate for clients' rights, dignity, and overall well-being
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background screening and drug test
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and client-centered approach
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends
