Job Overview

We are a growing Bermuda Class E reinsurer seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Investment team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the CIO and Investments Director in a dynamic reinsurance environment, gaining exposure to strategic, operational, and regulatory aspects of a sophisticated insurance platform.

The successful candidate will ideally have fixed income background (ideally private credit)) and play a key role in developing with the CIO strategies to deliver Alpha to the Investments portfolio, analyzing asset selection from our investments managers, providing financial analysis, while contributing to strategic AI-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investments from multiple sectors and support the CIO in making investment decisions and ensuring appropriate risk adjusted returns and strategic asset allocation alignment.  
• Develop diligence questions and assess responses from investment managers. Evaluate relative value and structural protections. 
• Aggregate credit investment decisions across sectors, monitor performance of approved deals.
• Partner with CIO on strategic trades, development of new asset classes, finding alpha. Assess new fund strategies.
• Develop data driven materials and insights for senior management and other key stakeholders. 
•  Drive enhancements in investments’ decisions and processes through the adoption of advanced AI capabilities.
• Contribute to delivery of Investments materials to critical constituents including, the Board of Directors, major investors and regulatory bodies. 
• Manage ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications & Experience

·        Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.

·        Approximately 5 years of experience in investment management.

·        Understanding of global capital markets and public and private fixed income investments.

·        Understanding of credit structures and legal agreements.

• Work Environment: U.S. remote, NJ/NY based with periodic travel to NYC/NJ areas expected.

• Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 to $190,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
