What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Charge EPC?
Job Summary:
The Estimator role is responsible for day to day estimating including supporting the preparation of estimates; development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets; compliance with contractual terms; and comparison of actuals to estimated costs upon project completion.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate the project requirements, scope, schedule and budget to the project team and supervision of the estimate's activities and project tasks.
- Identifies labor, material and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Work closely with Operations teams to discuss and implement different strategies, productions, and efficiencies to help create more robust and competitive bids.
- Develop and manage project workflows to increase production and profitability.
- Implement and execute executive bid reviews with teams based on estimate value. Be able to present and share projected cash flows, risk analysis, contract terms and conditions, markups, and bid strategies.
- Management of the project estimates scope, schedule, and budget to ensure that Charge commitments to the client are met while verifying that the project financial goals are met.
- Management and communication of project changes with the client and the project team.
- Active communication with the client to keep them apprised of project status and potential changes.
- Proactive identification of project issues and development of options for corrective action.
- Coordination with resource managers and project team (via project kickoff and status meetings) of the work scope, personnel assignments, budgets, and cost consistent with the client's needs and objectives.
- Supporting the preparation of proposals, including the writing of assigned proposals, and the development of cost estimates, profitability analyses, and schedules for completing the scope of work included in the proposal.
