Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in an assisted living/memory care setting, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests, families and residents. This position requires a strong commitment to cleanliness, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. Experience in assisted living or healthcare housekeeping is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Launder linens and towels as needed, ensuring they are clean and presentable for use.
- Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, scrubbing, and polishing floors to maintain their appearance.
- Manage custodial duties by restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in restrooms and common areas.
- Carry out carpet cleaning procedures to ensure all carpets are well-maintained and free of stains.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding cleanliness or maintenance issues with a focus on customer service.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare housekeeping is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping management practices and standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing improvement or additional cleaning.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
