Charbonneau Country Club (CCC) is a homeowners association located in the Charbonneau district of Wilsonville, Oregon, just south of Portland. The association encompasses 1627 residential units, including single family homes, condominiums, townhomes, an assisted-living center, and apartments. Charbonneau is a planned-unit development with a 27-hole golf course, two community centers, sports center, marina, rv lot, commercial/business center, restaurants, and a variety of recreational activities.
General Position Summary:
This position will staff the front reception desk at the Activity Center. This essential position will respond to walk-in inquiries and answer office phones; screen calls for staff by assisting the caller, if possible, or taking messages; copy, file, research, and complete miscellaneous office tasks; perform preparation work and accuracy verification for various projects.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
- Provide answers to questions and requests for information.
- Assist Activities Coordinator in completing member sign-ups for various amenity services, as assigned.
- Assist the Activities Coordinator in event and activity tasks, as assigned.
- Schedule meetings for individual staff as requested.
- Garage and Estate Sale signs check out & check in.
- Open and distribute mail to staff, signing for packages.
- Use of various equipment (i.e., sound equipment, TV & HDMI hookup, heating & cooling).
- Managing and answering multi-line phone calls, forwarding calls to appropriate staff member.
- Monitoring office and janitorial supplies.
- Backup duties as required for office staff and other duties as assigned.
General Office:
Answer office phones and respond to walk-in inquiries; screen calls for the General Manager and other staff by assisting the caller, if possible, or taking messages; handle incoming and outgoing mail; copy, file, research and complete miscellaneous office tasks; perform preparation work and accuracy verification for annual phone directory; assist General Manager with board/committee meetings and other tasks as assigned.
General Office Qualifications and Skills:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability and openness to learn new skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Ability to learn customized software systems.
- Detail oriented and comfortable working in fast paced office environment.
- Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
- Have an outgoing personality that enjoys interacting with people.
- Work collaboratively with other team members.
Education and/or Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalency. At least two (2) years of experience in a customer service or, in an office environment.
Work Environment:
The position is based in a professional office setting within the Country Club’s Activity Center. The work involves frequent interaction with members, guests, vendors, and staff in person, by phone, and via email. The environment is fast-paced, service-oriented, and requires a high level of customer services in hospitality, professionalism and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily sedentary work, with prolonged periods of sitting and use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting (up to 30 lbs.) when handling office supplies, packages, or assisting with event setup.
- Must be able to move around as needed to coordinate with various departments or assist members.
- Professional, member-focused environment emphasizing courtesy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Experience occasional interruptions or competing demands, requiring effective multitasking and prioritization.
Compensation
The Charbonneau Country Club offers a competitive hourly salary $20.00 to $22.00 per hour DOE, Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
