The Charak Center for Health and Wellness is a well-established, state certified and Joint Commission accredited behavioral health agency with locations in Elyria, Garfield Heights, Medina, Mentor, and Stow. We provide services to individuals with mental health and substance use issues. Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring licensed clinicians to provide high quality behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults. These are office-based positions.
Job description
Normal agency business hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday with evening hours for appointments and/or meetings as needed. Our front office staff cover from 8:45 am to 5:45 pm each weekday. From time-to-time, however, the work situation may require an employee to expend an amount of time more than the normal workweek.
This position is primarily based in Garfield Heights but also may require traveling to our other office locations in Elyria, Medina, Mentor and Stow.
Must be able to take vitals and perform injection administration.
· Primary staff responsible for prior authoirzations and medical records.
Warmly welcome visitors, determine nature of business, and direct them appropriately.
· Answer phones, schedule patients and take messages in a courteous and efficient fashion.
· Interface with and collect funds from patients as they enter or leave the office and to enter all charges into a computerized billing system and access information as needed.
· Take vitals.
· Monitor and collect urine samples, as needed, and manage sample according to protocol.
· Perform all lab test sampling and submit samples or results according to protocol.
· Monitor laboratory results and ensure that these are communicated and recorded correctly.
· Perform other medical-related tasks such as checking vitals, administering breathalyzers and injections, EKGs and other tasks.
· Upload reports (OARRS, labs) to electronic medical records in a timely fashion so that this information is retrievable by MEDSOM staff at time of appointments.
· Assure prescription refill requests are processed in a timely fashion.
· Process Insurance Verification for services and complete Prior Authorization for medications and services
· Medication injection administration, EKG.
Experience/Credentials:
Medical assistant, administrative assistant, customer service or related experience.
Required: Medical Assistant Certification or Registration, or State-Certified Nursing Assistant.
