Spray Finish Technician

Position Summary

At JC Huffman Cabinetry, we build custom cabinetry that reflects exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. We are looking for a Spray Finish Technician who takes pride in producing flawless finishes and, more importantly, someone who thinks.

This position is not for someone who simply follows instructions. We are looking for a person who notices problems before they become expensive mistakes, understands why quality matters, and takes ownership of their work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare cabinetry and components for finishing.
• Mix, tint, and apply stains, sealers, primers, lacquers, conversion varnishes, and other wood finishes.
• Sand between coats to achieve premium furniture-quality finishes.
• Inspect every piece for defects before, during, and after finishing.
• Maintain spray equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Keep the spray booth, finishing area, and workspaces clean and organized.
• Safely handle finishing materials and follow all OSHA and environmental requirements.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving finished products as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with spray finishing is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read work orders and follow specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and work in a physically demanding environment throughout the day.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
