What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Equipment Operator position at Chaput Farms?
Chaput Family Farms is a fourth generation grain and oil crop farm based in north eastern North Dakota. We raise crops consisting of spring wheat, barley, canola, soybeans, corn, sunflowers, and peas on approximately 5,000 acres. Employee must operate equipment proficiently and safely. Employee will operate tractors, grain box trucks, and semi tractor with grain trailers (for farm use only). Employee will assist with the application of fertilizer and chemicals, farm fabrication projects, farm maintenance, and load/haul grain from field to farm storage locations. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid $20.25/hr if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
