About the Role
This is a 6-month, full-time internship designed as a direct path to a full-time Assistant Project Manager role, and eventually Project Manager.
You will work closely with senior project managers and gain hands-on exposure to active renovation projects across New Jersey.
The role is fast-paced, field-based, and requires daily site presence across multiple job sites.
Immediate start required.
Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Location & Mobility Requirements
Must be local to New Jersey or nearby
Valid driver’s license and access to a car are required
Ability to travel between multiple active job sites daily
Compensation
Months 1–4: $1,500/month commute expenses
Months 5–6: $2,500/month commute expenses
What You’ll Do
Assist in managing renovation projects from start to finish
Support proposal preparation, drawings coordination, material takeoffs, and cost estimates
Conduct daily site visits across multiple projects
Support communication with clients during project execution
Assist with file management, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Help with procurement and tracking of material samples
Track vendors and pricing
Participate in daily and weekly project meetings
Training & Development
Training program led by Chapter’s New Jersey managing partner
Direct exposure to active projects and real-world execution
Opportunity to transition into a full-time Assistant Project Manager role based on performance
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Strong interest in construction and renovation projects
Comfortable traveling between job sites daily
Ability to work in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (AutoCAD/Revit a plus)
