We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Home Automation Low Voltage Senior Technician to join our dynamic team. The Senior Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and commissioning of advanced low-voltage and smart technology systems in residential and/or commercial environments. This role serves as a technical lead in the field, ensuring high-quality execution of custom integration projects including audio/video, home automation, networking, security, and lighting control systems. The ideal candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including home automation, security, audio/video systems, and networking solutions. This role is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in the home automation industry.
The Key Responsibilties for the Sr Technician:
- Lead and execute installation of custom integration systems including AV, automation, networking, surveillance, and control systems
- Interpret system designs, schematics, and project documentation to ensure accurate implementation
- Configure and program systems (e.g., Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, networking equipment, etc.)
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices
- Interface with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and uphold company quality standards
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently in the field or remotely
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry best practices
- Document installations, changes, and service work accurately
- Conduct site surveys to determine installation requirements and assess customer needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols while working on job sites
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients
This position is a 90 Day contract to Hire
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Education:
- Associate (Preferred)
Experience:
- Custom Home Automation: 5 years (Required)
