What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at CHAPPELL SUPPLY & EQUIPMENT?
The Inventory Control Technician will physically count the inventory of the Company as well as monitor usage. This position requires the ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and have an aptitude for math.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform physical counts on inventory.
- Responsible for restocking inventory.
- Request orders for parts.
- Monitor usage/history of inventory stock.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Make sure inventory has proper storage locations.
- Be able to locate parts within the inventory.
- Organize and monitor warehouse inventory for optimal use.
- Remove obsolete materials.
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory management system.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Previous inventory control experience.
- Understanding of inventory control.
- Reliable and dependable.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information
- Have the ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
- Ability to complete orders and routine forms on the computer as well as conduct routine oral communication in person or over the phone
- Be able to frequently move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to compute, analyze and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes
- Able to see and read computer monitors and be able to detect specific noises, proper equipment operation and understand what others are saying
- Be able to work in warehouse that does not have heat or air conditioning
- Be able to stand and move about regularly
- Be able to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented.
