Position Overview
Chappell Construction & Hardscapes (CCH) and Earth Retention Systems (ERS) is seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position requires strong construction industry hauling skills, reliability, and the ability to safely transport materials and equipment using multiple trailer types. Experience pulling lowboys, dump trailers, and flatbeds is required. Compensation is determined based on experience (DOE).
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including:
– Lowboy trailers for hauling construction equipment
– Dump trailers for aggregates and materials
– Flatbed trailers for pallets, block, and jobsite materials
Ensure all loads are properly secured using chains, binders, straps, or tarps.
Perform DOT-compliant pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections.
Transport materials and equipment between the yard, suppliers, and job sites safely and on schedule.
Maintain accurate logs, timesheets, and vehicle inspection records.
Communicate with supervisors, foremen, and office staff about deliveries, delays, or issues.
Assist with loading/unloading materials when necessary.
Provide general onsite support when not driving.
Follow all company and jobsite safety standards and represent CCH professionally.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL.
Experience with lowboy, dump trailer, and flatbed hauling (required).
Clean driving record and valid DOT medical card.
Ability to confidently back trailers into tight areas.
Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safe load securement.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors.
Reliable, professional, and strong communicator.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with heavy equipment hauling i.e.; loader and excavator.
Construction heavy highway/jobsite experience.
Loader or skid steer experience (preferred but not required).
Compensation
Pay is determined based on experience (DOE).
