Job Overview:
The Concrete Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of concrete construction projects at the job site. This includes overseeing labor crews, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive experience in concrete work (such as forming, pouring, finishing, and curing), and the ability to read blueprints and manage daily operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in concrete construction (e.g., forming, placing, finishing, and curing).
- Interpret and work from construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards.
- Plan daily work operations, monitor job progress, and ensure timely project completion.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship and materials meet project standards.
- Order and schedule delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Manage crew productivity and provide training, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise and proactively find solutions to stay on schedule.
- Perform hands-on concrete work as needed to support crew and maintain project momentum.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in construction preferred.
- 5 years of experience in concrete construction
- Proficient in all phases of concrete work: forming, placing, finishing, and curing.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, formwork systems, rebar placement, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Solid understanding of safety standards and regulations (OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
