Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions swiftly and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling and cash drawer management
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections or store layouts
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to enhance sales performance
- Stock shelves efficiently by receiving deliveries, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays aligned with merchandising standards
- Assist in inventory management through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and replenishment activities to ensure product availability
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by supervising team members during shifts, helping coordinate tasks, and ensuring smooth daily workflows
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions and change calculations
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination and training
- Ability to handle cash handling procedures responsibly while maintaining accuracy in balancing cash drawers
