What are the responsibilities and job description for the Standardized Patients (PAS) position at chapman?
A Standardized Patient (SP) is trained to accurately portray a specific patient’s role, assess clinical skills, and provide constructive feedback about a student’s performance. SPs participate in the teaching and assessment of physician assistant students at Chapman University Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences Department of Physician Assistant Studies (PAS). Standardized Patient Program activities provide students with opportunities to develop, practice, and enhance their interviewing, communication, and physical exam skills.This position will support various simulation events for Chapman University Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences Department of Physician Assistant Studies (PAS). Simulations will occur in person on Chapman University’s Rinker Health Science campus in Irvine, CA, or virtually via platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc. Recruitment is ongoing and based on the Department PAS’s simulation schedule and evolving needs.
