Position Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports to: Insurance Agency Vice President and Site Manager
A. SUMMARY
Provides prompt, efficient, high-quality service to designated accounts in support of Producer activities. Supports the retention of existing accounts, quotes and creates new commercial lines policies.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a part of J P Insurance, The Paul Chapman Agency! This CSR role supports the production of new accounts and the retention of existing accounts. You will maintain and connect with current and future clients, review existing accounts, and support the office through the production of certificates of insurance, quotes, and other related paperwork. This role is vital to maintaining relationships with commercial lines customers. You may also perform other functions as assigned by management.
You should be friendly on the phone, willing to be a team player, and excited to come to work every day! The person hired will receive full on the job training. Experience with the insurance industry a plus but not necessary. A great attitude is a must! Industry licensing is required. An on the job program to licensure is available for the right candidate.
Ability to use a computer with proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred. Exceptional communication skills – phone and email - a must
Fast-paced multi-tasking environment. Ability to be a part of a team is vital. Able to lift 15 pounds. Work hours flexible within the defined scope of 8 am to 5 pm, daily, Monday through Friday. New York State Insurance License - Property, Home, Auto, Casualty - required.
