Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting various accounting functions. Candidate is required to have a min of 3yrs experience with Quickbooks.
Duties
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly to verify account balances
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper double-entry bookkeeping practices in accordance with the brokerage
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Assist with payroll processing and tax-related activities as needed
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other statements for management review
- Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and preparing relevant reports
- Utilize accounting Quickbooks software to record transactions and generate reports
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of debits & credits, general ledger transactions, and account activity
- Assist with accounting requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting Quickbooks software and other financial platforms
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial concepts such as debits & credits
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing
- Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and write clear financial reports for management review
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support audit processes
