What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cathodic Protection Construction Laborer position at Chapman Engineering?
We are an engineering firm that specializes in corrosion control and cathodic protection of pipelines and underground tanks. We will train you as you work. We pay for certification prep schools and testing once you display a competent level of expertise in our field.
MUST be willing to travel to various work sites throughout Texas, New Mexico, and others as needed. We pay for your rooms and provide you with a per diem for all meals and essentials. Compensation is based on experience. Due to regulations in our industry, you will be subject to random drug and alcohol tests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with various construction tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials
- Operate hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure efficient workflow
Skills:
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
