Job Description/Primary Role and Responsibilities
- Generate architectural base sheets for projects:
- Arch. site plan from surveyor CAD drawings
- Demolition/as-built plan(s) from field measurement drawings
- Arch. floor plan(s) from sketches provided by principle designer
- Block out roof plan & exterior elevations for design meetings
- Complete arch. plans for zoning review
- Generate structural base sheets for structural engineer:
- Foundation/crawl space plan from field measurement drawings
- Cross sections as needed to show primary structural elements
- Incorporate structural details from engineer into cross sections
- Generate EMP base sheets:
- Draft lighting plan(s) from sketches provided by principle designer
Draft mechanical plan(s) from sketches provided by principle designer Draft plumbing plan(s) from sketches provided by principle designer
- Compile Building Submittal documents
- Assemble all documents into a set of plans that include CDA drawings, structural drawings, Energy & Green Build sheets, and Civil Engineering drawings
- Address plan check review comments
Qualifications
- 2D AutoCAD proficiency required
- 2D modeling including generating building sections
_ The ability to visualize structures without the aid of 3D software_
_ Self-directed and comfortable working independently_
- Proficiency in residential construction documents to building permit level
- General knowledge of wood frame construction
- Knowledge or experience in reading and evaluating zoning ordinances and the preparation of documents for variances & zoning review
- Occasional travel may be required for on-site field verification
- Degree in Architecture, Planning, Engineering or other related fields is desired
