What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Worker position at Chapelwood United Methodist Church?
Chapelwood United Methodist Church is currently seeking part-time childcare staff for our on-site Nursery facility. We are in need of childcare staff who are available on Sunday mornings from 8am-12:30pm, holiday hours for Christmas and Easter are subject to change. Some Saturday evening duties may be required, these hours are on an as need basis for our Mercy Street worship community who meets 4:30-8pm. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age - currently in school, have a GED, or a high school diploma. Responsibilities include supervision and engagement with children ages 3 months - PreK Bridge; staff must consistently meet our children's' physical and emotional needs; they must interact with children through play, affection, and respectful behavior; utilizing and implementing resources provided by Children's Discipleship staff for Sunday School as well as resources provided by Mercy Street staff for Saturday evenings is a necessity; childcare staff must foster developmentally appropriate independence in children; and diligently uphold the highest cleanliness and safety standards. Childcare staff must have excellent communication and customer service skills. It is imperative that childcare staff possess the ability to take initiative in any given situation and exhibit confidence in their job.

Currently all Nursery staff are required to wear masks while working with children ages 3 months - PreK.
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
