Schedule
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Required)
This position offers flexibility with the opportunity to grow from part-time into a full-time role.
Position Overview
Chapel Hill Dental Arts is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys educating patients, providing high-quality preventive care, and working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and periodontal charting
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and treatment recommendations
- Assist doctors with examinations and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Follow OSHA and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment
- Help create a comfortable, positive, and welcoming patient experience
- Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to support efficient daily operations
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Dental Hygienist license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Experience preferred, but we are open to the right candidate with a positive attitude and strong clinical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to exceptional patient care
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
