CDL-A Oilfield Sand Hauler
Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to haul frac sand and other approved materials to and from oilfield locations. The driver will operate tractor-trailer equipment, safely load and unload materials, and work closely with dispatch, well-site personnel, and customers. The pay is based on a 30% commission
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer, including pneumatic sand trailers and related equipment.
- Transport frac sand to oilfield well sites, sand facilities, terminals, and designated locations.
- Safely enter, exit, and maneuver through active oilfield locations and job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company requirements.
- Secure and inspect equipment and cargo before transportation.
- Follow dispatch instructions, assigned routes, delivery schedules, and customer requirements.
- Operate pneumatic systems and unloading equipment as required.
- Complete bills of lading, delivery tickets, electronic logs, and other required paperwork.
- Maintain accurate hours-of-service records and comply with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and well-site personnel.
- Report equipment defects, safety concerns, spills, incidents, or delays immediately.
- Maintain the truck and trailer in a clean and safe operating condition.
- Follow all company, customer, environmental, and oilfield safety procedures.
- Work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when required by operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Ability to operate a manual Shift truck.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Current DOT medical certification as required.
- Ability to pass required drug and alcohol testing.
- Previous CDL driving experience preferred; oilfield, pneumatic, or frac-sand hauling experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely operate and inspect heavy trucks and trailers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work in outdoor, industrial, and oilfield environments.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers and safely access oilfield equipment.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and equipment checks.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around active oilfield operations.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on customer and dispatch needs.
Safety Expectations
Safety is a top priority. Drivers are expected to follow all applicable DOT/FMCSA regulations, company policies, customer site requirements, and oilfield safety procedures. Drivers must operate equipment responsibly and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.
