Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and personal vehicles to deliver large items directly to customer locations.
• Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Assist customers with the placement and setup and installation of delivered items inside their homes or businesses, ensuring a seamless white glove service experience.
• Follow established route plans and traffic regulations to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service throughout the process.
• Complete all required documentation accurately using mobile devices or delivery management systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies.

Skills

• Prior warehouse experience combined with commercial driving skills for box trucks or personal vehicles.
• Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and traffic adherence.
• Ability to manually handle heavy loads safely using proper lifting techniques; experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude and clear communication abilities.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures and inventory handling.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and weight handling in the workplace.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred; valid driver’s license for driver or courier roles required.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, documentation, and communication during deliveries.
