Director of Manufacturing Role

The Director of Manufacturing plays a crucial role in overseeing the entire manufacturing process within the CRG organization. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of manufacturing operations. The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of goods, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Director of Manufacturing Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
3. Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
4. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, IT, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the manufacturing process.

6. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize production workflows, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.

7. Manage and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.

8. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to align manufacturing activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints.
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and quality management systems, such as ISO certifications.
10. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing, and actively seek opportunities to leverage new technologies or methodologies to improve manufacturing processes.

Director of Manufacturing Required Skills

1. Strong leadership and management abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

3. Proven experience in developing and implementing manufacturing strategies that drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a senior manufacturing management role, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
3. Strong track record of successfully managing manufacturing operations.
4. Experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and quality management systems, such as ISO certifications.
6. Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
7. Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a high-performing manufacturing team.
