About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Project Manager to provide administrative and project support for a key government client in Washington, DC. You will assist with the planning, execution, and closing of critical telecommunications projects, including initiatives focused on cost-savings and technology transitions like EIS (Engineering Information System) and POTSolve (Plain Old Telephone Service Solver).
This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your project management skills while working closely with a dedicated telecom team to ensure project goals are met on schedule and within budget.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support for telecom projects from initiation to completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and foster seamless execution.
- Monitor project progress, track tasks, and assist in implementing changes as necessary.
- Help manage project budgets and resources efficiently to meet objectives.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation on project tasks and report progress to management.
- Utilize telecom management tools and techniques to track progress and deliver efficient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; OR a current PMP Certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- A strong background in telecom technologies and systems (e.g., EIS, POTSOLVE, VoIP, wireless, fiber optics).
- Proven track record of successfully supporting cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in supporting all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
