About the Role
Our government client is seeking a Pharmacy Benefit Integration Specialist (Pharmacist) to support Medicaid Pharmacy (PBM) operations and business integration initiatives. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, Medicaid/PBM expertise, and experience collaborating with IT, business, and leadership teams to enhance pharmacy program effectiveness.
This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy benefit program operations, workflows, and business integration activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise on pharmacy lines of business including retail, LTC, home infusion, specialty, institutional, and mail order.
- Review PBM processes and contribute to achieving program goals and operational outcomes.
- Research drug information and support clinical decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy, Medicaid, HIPAA, and PII regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support PBM enhancements and strategic initiatives.
- Assist senior decision-makers by reviewing documentation and offering recommendations.
- Contribute to project planning, business analysis, and product or application initiatives.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and complex documentation with high attention to detail.
- Support Agile team activities and participate in related tools and workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy (B.S. or PharmD).
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license (minimum 3 years).
- Ability to obtain North Carolina Pharmacist license within 90 days.
- 3 years of experience in pharmacy business lines (retail, LTC, specialty, etc.).
- 3 years of experience with Medicaid Pharmacy (PBM) processes.
- 3 years of drug information experience.
- 3 years of experience managing multiple priorities and professional communication.
- 3 years of experience working with applicable policies and procedures.
- 3 years of experience in business analysis, product management, project management, or software application development.
- 3 years of experience preparing reports, summaries, and complex documentation.
- 3 years handling HIPAA and PII-sensitive data.
- 3 years of managed care or related healthcare program experience.
- 3 years of Medicaid program or healthcare information experience.
- 3 years of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Adobe.
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule and attend webcam interviews.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of experience with Enterprise IT systems integration.
- 2 years of experience in Agile methodologies and tools.
