About the Role
Join our government client as a Help Desk/Data Quality Analyst, supporting the critical accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of immunization information systems (IIS). This hybrid role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in T-SQL, eager to ensure robust data quality and contribute to public health initiatives. You will play a vital part in validating data submitted by healthcare providers, standardizing information, and transforming it into actionable insights.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform data quality assessments on immunization records, including de-duplication, validation, and standardization.
- Write and optimize T-SQL queries to analyze, clean, and transform large healthcare datasets.
- Collaborate with providers, IIS staff, and public health partners to identify and resolve data submission errors.
- Develop data quality dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to track provider compliance and system accuracy.
- Support implementation of HL7 and IIS data exchange standards by validating message integrity and field mapping.
- Investigate data anomalies, troubleshoot submission issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Document data quality rules, methodologies, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare reports for leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL (query writing, stored procedures, optimization, troubleshooting) with 5 years of experience.
- 5 years of experience working with large relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
- 5 years of strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data issues and recommend corrective actions.
- 5 years of excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Selected resource will be required to work onsite 3 days per week and 2 days remote.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with immunization registries (IIS), HL7 messaging, or healthcare data standards.
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of IIS data exchange standards (VXU, ACK, QBP).
- Experience with data quality frameworks and record-matching techniques.
- Exposure to public health data systems or clinical data exchange.
