Program Social Worker
Changing Options, a 24-hour residential treatment facility in Ramona is looking to hire a full time Program Social Worker. We serve adults with severe mental illness, primarily thought and mood disorders, through a dynamic day treatment and residential program in a milieu setting with a multi-disciplinary team. As Program Social Worker you will be reporting directly to the Clinical Director while coordinating with the Direct Care Staff, the Program Manager, the Consulting Psychologist and Psychiatrist, and other clinical staff. This is a very demanding and rewarding position which requires autonomy and team work, flexibility and dedication. Supervision for license is available.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Individual, group, family and milieu counseling
- Case management
- Treatment planning and coordination
- Documentation and reporting
- Telephonic on-call response for crisis
- Provide clinical direction to direct care staff
- Crisis intervention
This is a Full-time 40-hour per week position. The schedule is Monday – Friday, hours to be determined. The pay will be determined on your experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field; or Bachelor's degree in listed disciplines with experience in residential setting
- Experience working with adults with mental illness
- Experience with Independent Living Skills issues preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Must be self-aware, flexible, adaptable and teachable
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug testing
- Criminal record clearance by being fingerprinted prior to reporting to work and signing a statement regarding criminal convictions
- A physical exam and TB test
- Visual and auditory ability to observe critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency
- Ability to adequately observe participants activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate policies and procedures
- Must possess the ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid, both Adult and Infant/Child, certification required and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute
- must be able to lift to up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting
