Qualified Mental Health Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) to join our team. The QMHA will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with behavioral health challenges. This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with behavioral health issues and developmental disabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal development.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to coordinate care and support services.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health challenges is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mental health documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience working with children or individuals with mental health challenges is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, team members, and community partners.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals in their personal growth journey.
