Encompass Developer

About The Role

The Encompass Developer will design, build, and support customizations and integrations for the ICE Encompass loan origination system to streamline mortgage operations and improve loan quality. The role partners closely with lending, operations, and IT to translate business requirements into scalable, secure Encompass solutions.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Encompass configuration, including custom input forms, business rules, field calculations, and pipeline views.
• Build and support Encompass SDK/API integrations with internal systems and third-party services (POS’, pricing engine, CRMs, data warehouse, AUS, etc.).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Encompass and related integrations; perform root cause analyses and implement preventative fixes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine requirements, produce technical designs, and document Encompass changes.
• Participate in release planning, testing, and deployment for Encompass updates, including regression and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure solutions follow secure coding, change management, and audit/compliance standards.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
• Experience:
  • (Required) Experience developing solutions for Encompass LOS in a mortgage banking environment.
  • Experience with Blend and/or LON POS platforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage origination processes and compliance.
• Technical Skills:
  • Development experience with Encompass LOS (desktop and/or web).
  • Strong mortgage technology/LOS background, with understanding of loan lifecycle and common workflows.
  • Proficiency in C# and working with REST/SOAP APIs, Encompass SDK, and related tooling.
  • Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications on public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including use of core services (compute, storage, networking) and basic cloud security concepts.
  • Experience with source control, SDLC practices, and deploying changes across multiple environments.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of LOS-POS integration and data workflows.
  • Prior work in a mortgage lender, bank, or fintech environment with compliance driven processes.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Encompass Developer Certification or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with LOS-POS integration projects.
  • Experience working in SCRUM/Agile teams using Jira for issue tracking, sprint planning, and release management.

Salary : $125,000 - $175,000
