What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Scheduler position at Chang Robotics?
Sr. Project Scheduler
Direct Hire / 2 Year Contract · Hybrid (Charlotte, NC) · $120,000 – $140,000
ABOUT CHANG ROBOTICS
Chang Robotics is revolutionizing manufacturing: We design, build, and commission Factory 5.0 automation for American manufacturing, and stay on site through commissioning and beyond.
Our founder and president are both licensed professional engineers with decades of experience on factory floors. While our name reflects our leadership in robotics and automation, our roots run deeper. Our team brings collective experience in full facility design, process equipment design, and construction. It is this foundation in design-build delivery that sets us apart. Our understanding of how a building works from the ground up allows us to design automation and robotics solutions that are part of the facility, not bolted on after the fact, but built in from the start as part of a cohesive, turnkey approach.
We don't sell products. We engineer outcomes. CR is vendor agnostic by principle and outcome obsessed by design. We partner with the best technology providers and build systems for each client's floor, their people, and their operations.
American manufacturing is not in decline. It is under-engineered, and we fix that.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are building a new large, scale Greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and need a Project Scheduler to own the integrated schedule from day one. This is a project controls role with real teeth, you will build and hold a single master schedule across the building contractor, process designer, utilities providers, equipment vendors, and every other major contributor.
You have done this before on big jobs. You know how to read a room of contractors, push back when the logic is wrong, and keep the schedule honest from preconstruction through mechanical completion and commissioning handoff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Schedule Development & Integration
• Develop, baseline, and maintain the project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Primavera P6 or similar
• Integrate schedules from building contractor, process designer, utilities provider, equipment vendors, and specialty subcontractors into a single logic-linked master schedule
• Establish interface milestones and handoff points between all contributing parties
• Define work breakdown structure (WBS) and coding aligned to the project execution plan
• Develop and maintain schedule basis narratives and assumptions documentation
-Monitoring & Reporting
• Perform weekly and monthly schedule updates incorporating actual progress and forecast revisions from all contributors
• Conduct critical path and near critical path analysis; identify float erosion and emerging risks
• Produce schedule performance dashboards, look ahead schedules (3/6,week), and variance reports for project leadership
• Support earned value management (EVM) reporting and integrate schedule with cost controls as required
• Facilitate schedule review meetings with owners, contractors, and third party stakeholders
-Stakeholder Coordination
• Serve as the primary scheduling interface between the owner's project team and all contracted parties
• Develop and enforce schedule submission requirements and data quality standards for all contributing schedulers

• Support procurement and long-lead equipment tracking with schedule integration
-Risk & Change Management
• Perform schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo or equivalent) to support contingency planning
• Evaluate schedule impact of proposed changes and provide time impact analysis (TIA) assessments
• Maintain a schedule risk register and track mitigation actions through closure
• Support claims avoidance through detailed schedule documentation and baseline controls

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 (required); experience with Microsoft Project a plus
• Prior experience on greenfield manufacturing, EPC, semiconductor, battery, data center, or similar advanced industrial facility projects strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience integrating multi-party schedules across building contractor, design, and process/utility workstreams
• Working knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling and earned value management principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present schedule findings clearly to executive stakeholders
• Ability to work full-time on-site at the project location outside of Charlotte, NC as required. Initial scheduling prior to construction mobilization will be remote.
