Calendar:  

 2611H FULL TIME (12 MONTH) 237 work days, 24 paid holidays, 261 total paid days

Performance Pay:  

Available annually  

New Hire Experience:  

1% for two or more years of full time like experience and an additional 1% per year not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%.  

New Hire Education:  

1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a similar field, combined with work experience credit not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%.

JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATE - PRE-EMPLOYMENT

CALENDAR: 2611H (12 MONTH)

SALARY: GRADE 116 (SUPPORT HOURLY)

 

Job Goal:

Perform a wide variety of clerical and technical duties related to the operation of the Human Resources Department.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus post-graduate work in business or related fields
  • Experience in Human Resources or a related field 
  • Demonstrated knowledge/training in customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Ability to type accurately at an acceptable rate of speed and to operate standard
  • office equipment, including a computer
  • Proficient in standard office software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in standard Google programs, including Docs, Sheets, and Forms
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules
  • Satisfactory criminal background check
  • Vision and hearing are adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner

Core Job Functions:

  • Perform a wide variety of clerical work, including data entry, typing, filing, record keeping, and preparing reports
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel records on the software system and on physical records (as needed)
  • Perform background checks on all recommended applicants, including employment references and fingerprinting
  • Conduct transactions with employees and the general public, requiring a knowledge of rules, procedures, policies, and activities
  • Receive inquiries by telephone or in person and give appropriate information
  • Prepare reports, bulletins, and directories
  • Conduct and respond to various surveys
  • Maintain a variety of files, including applications, and ensure confidentiality
  • Conduct orientation of new employees and coordinate post-employment paperwork
  • Assist the substitute coordinator 
  • Cover for the receptionist as requested
  • Be flexible and perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor
  • Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed
  • Operate and care for the school districts' equipment properly
  • Conduct new employee orientations 
  • Follow district policies as outlined

Physical Requirements:

  • Positions in this classification often require physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, and sitting.
