Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Arizona Department of Education issued Substitute PreK-12, or ADE issued Standard Teaching Certificate
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint clearance card
- Serve to continue learning while classroom teacher is absent that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum
- Use effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives
- Monitor and assess student progress to provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their classroom teacher
- Communicate aims and/or objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
- Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing the development of proper student behavior
- Implement reasonable classroom rules of behavior and procedure in a fair and just manner
- Provide each student with the opportunity to develop his/her potential in the areas of personal-social adjustment, decision-making, positive self-image and other life skills
- Promote and follow the adopted school district philosophy, policies, regulations and administrative procedures
- Communicate concerns and ideas through appropriate channels in a positive, professional and ethical manner
- Assume legal responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
- Strive to maintain and improve professional competence
- Assume individual responsibilities which may be assigned by the principal/supervisor, and which may relate to committee work, student activities, student supervision or other professional assignments
- Maintain accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation

- Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce material and skills

- Have a basic Knowledge of computers, software and applications
