Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental team and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures and a strong understanding of dental systems and protocols.
Our hours are Monday-Thursday 7:00-3:00 with an occasional Friday.
We have a second location in Burgess, so willingness to travel is important.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for procedures.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Epic and Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and billing processes.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging and assist in the creation of dental appliances as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques at all times.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve workflow efficiency and enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with general dentistry is a plus. Willing to train the right candidate with interest in the field.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate record keeping and efficient workflow.
