Job Description
Chances Bar & Video Gaming is looking for a reliable, motivated cook to join our team. We need someone who can handle a fast-paced bar kitchen, take pride in consistent food quality, and work well with others.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working nights, weekends, and busy shifts. We are looking for a team player who can keep the kitchen clean, move with urgency, and help create a great experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Chances Bar standards
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, prep area, coolers, and workstations
- Handle prep work before and during shifts
- Stock and rotate food products properly
- Communicate with bartenders, servers, and management during service
- Keep up with orders during busy bar shifts and events
- Help control food waste and maintain consistency
- Wash dishes and assist with general kitchen cleaning when needed
- Follow opening, closing, and side-work checklists
Qualifications
- Prior kitchen, line cook, prep cook, or restaurant experience preferred
- Must be dependable and show up on time
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food quality, and organization
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Food Handler certification preferred, or willingness to obtain one
