Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy turf and vibrant gardens
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, pruning, and landscape shaping
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities including weeding, mulching, and seasonal clean-up such as snow plowing when needed
- Help with tree care activities like trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and safety
- Maintain equipment including excavators and other construction machinery to ensure optimal performance
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance preferred
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided if necessary
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures when handling tools and machinery
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Prior experience in landscaping, tree care, irrigation systems or hardscape installation is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated learners
