Responsibilities
- Conduct surveillance investigations using specialized equipment to monitor individuals or activities related to insurance claims, financial fraud, or other suspicious behaviors.
- Collect and analyze information from various sources to support ongoing investigations and build comprehensive investigative reports.
- Utilize undercover investigation techniques when appropriate to gather evidence while maintaining safety and legal compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, observations, and evidence gathered during surveillance operations.
- Maintain surveillance equipment, ensure proper functioning, and adapt tactics based on investigation needs.
- Collaborate with team members to develop effective investigation strategies aligned with investigations regulatory compliance standards.
- Support data collection efforts by organizing and analyzing relevant information for case review and decision-making processes.
Skills
- Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and investigative procedures.
- Experience or familiarity with fraud investigation methods, including insurance investigations and financial fraud detection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for report writing and data analysis.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to document complex findings clearly and accurately.
- Knowledge of undercover investigation techniques and surveillance operations.
- Ability to analyze information effectively using investigative research methods and data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as cameras, tracking devices, and other investigative tools.
- Strong research skills for gathering intelligence from public records, online sources, or other databases.
- Understanding of investigations regulatory compliance requirements related to privacy laws and legal standards.
- Prior experience in private investigation or insurance company investigations is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
