What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Supervisor position at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber?
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the delivery of patient care from 3pm-7am, Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. Oversees and coordinates the final staffing for the following shift and adjusts staffing for current shift as census/acuity warrants. Acts as administrative representative, interpreting and enforcing established policies and procedures for all hospital departments. This individual is held accountable for demonstrating high standards of general conduct and professional performance at all times.
Education/Training/License/Certification:
Current PA Registered Nurse license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; BSN recommended, within 5 years after acceptance of position. Critical Care Course, ACLS & PALS required within 6 months.
Work Experience:
Minimum of one year of current acute care nursing experience, critical care experience preferred.
Supervisory and/or managerial experience preferred
