Job Title: Food Preparation Specialist (Part-Time)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Preparation Specialist to join our team in Imlay City. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining high food quality, freshness, and safety standards. Responsibilities include washing, cutting, and packaging fresh salads, fruits, and vegetables, as well as keeping precise digital food safety logs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning salads, fruits, and vegetables.
- Package prepared food items securely according to company standards and guidelines.
- Complete digital food safety and temperature logs consistently using specified software/devices.
- Maintain strict adherence to sanitation, hygiene, and food safety regulations (local health codes).
- Clean, sanitize, and organize food prep areas, equipment, and storage locations.
- Monitor product quality and report any inventory or equipment issues to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior food preparation or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles and knife handling.
- Comfortable using basic mobile or tablet devices for digital logging.
- Strong attention to detail, hygiene, and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs as needed.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, 2 to 3 days per week (exact schedule to be discussed during interview).
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
