Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Outdoor Grain Operations Worker to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for the day-to-day grain handling operations at our facility, including receiving, storing, transferring, and shipping grain. The ideal candidate thrives in an outdoor environment, is mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, seasonal industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving and unloading grain deliveries from trucks and/or railcars.
- Operate grain handling equipment including conveyors, legs, dryers, and augers.
- Monitor grain quality, moisture, and temperature; perform routine testing and documentation.
- Load outbound grain into trucks or railcars accurately and safely.
- Perform regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs of grain handling equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and comply with company, state, and federal regulations.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in grain handling, agriculture, or industrial operations is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces (e.g., bins, catwalks).
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, during harvest and peak seasons.
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to learn equipment operation and maintenance.
- Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
