Champlin Tire Recycling is looking for a human resources/safety manager. This position is responsible for management and administrative processes including payroll administration and employee benefit programs. Also, under general supervision, this position coordinates and identifies the safety and training programs for employees.
Candidate will coordinate functions of the office proficiently with the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks to support meeting business needs. Skill set includes analytical thinker, effective at multi tasking, well organized, a self-starter, resourceful in completing projects, and ability to make well thought out decisions. May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the company.
Responsibilities Include:
· New hire orientation/reporting and set up
· Writing and updating job descriptions, procedures, & office manuals / handbook
· Process Payroll (Entering employee timecards into system, calculating commissions and bonuses) & Pay Payroll Liabilities
· General Office Duties including answering telephone, bank deposits, general accounting and other duties as necessary.
· Managing employee files
· Tracking Vacation / Comp Days / Requested Time Off
· Posting job ads / scheduling interviews
· Employee Benefits / Benefit Enrollment & Maintenance
· Update employee information in QuickBooks
· Keep track of employee Review Sheets & Certification Sheets
· Safety stand down / Christmas / Other Events (setting up, catering order, gifts)
· Develops agendas and topics for monthly Safety Meetings
· Safety/OSHA compliance / General Safety Oversight
· Work with IT on setting up computers/ updates / telephones
Requirements Include:
Strong background in Management/Human Resources with computer skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel/workbooks with ability to link; consolidate reports, PowerPoint and Outlook). Proficient with computers, printers, and applications.
Self-starter with ability to work well individually and as a member of a team. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work in a customer environment. Willing to learn.
