1.00 FTE Transportation Coordinator
The administrative team at the Champlain Valley School District seeks an organized and
creative person with strong interpersonal skills to become the District Transportation Coordinator. This position includes a variety of tasks in a fast paced and innovative office. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with all Google or G Suite products. This includes Gmail, Google Calendar, and the sharing and organization of Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Slides through Google Drive. They will possess a current commercial drivers license with passenger endorsement. They will also become proficient in a suite of transportation routing and communication software. In addition, they will have effective writing skills and a flexible customer service-based attitude. This position will act in a leadership capacity in the absence of the District transportation director.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to execute each
requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability needed for the position.
· Providing direct support to the Transportation Director
· Assisting the transportation director with planning and tracking vehicle maintenance
· Creating and editing letters, articles, presentations, and website content
· Maintaining accurate financial records for the department including ordering and tracking of expenditures in financial software
· Route planning, development, maintenance and tracking using transportation software
· Assisting in the ordering of parts and supplies
· Assisting in the hiring process for transportation employees
· Substitute driving as assigned by the transportation director
· Assuming the duties of the District transportation director in their absence
· Other duties as assigned by the transportation director
This is a full-time, full-year position with a competitive salary and full benefits.
Work Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
