Champlain Valley Family Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PT Recovery Coach to join our Permanent Supportive Housing program. As a Recovery Coach, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Your role will involve mentoring, counseling, and crisis intervention to help clients on their path to recovery.
Job Duties
- Provide one-on-one support to individuals in recovery
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop personalized recovery plans
- Assist clients in setting goals and developing strategies for achieving them
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and mental health counselors, to coordinate care for clients
- Offer crisis management services and intervene during emergencies or relapse situations
- Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and treatment programs
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Qualifications:
- Experience working in behavioral health or addiction recovery settings
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for addiction treatment and recovery
- Strong understanding of mental health issues and their impact on individuals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Empathy and compassion for individuals struggling with addiction
- Strong crisis intervention skills
