Champlain Valley Family Center is a trusted behavioral health care provider serving individuals and families across the North Country. We are seeking to hire a detail-oriented Financial Associate in January to support our finance department in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Position Overview:
The Financial Associate will assist with key financial operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processing. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with financial regulatory compliance standards set my the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, tracking payments, and reconciling balances.
- Manage Accounts Payable, including vendor payments, expense tracking, and documentation.
- Assist with biweekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with internal policies and OMH/OASAS fiscal guidelines.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, audits, and financial planning tasks.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OMG and OASAS financial regulations, including reporting and documentation standards.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather financial data and provide necessary support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and payroll
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
