What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Champlain Valley Equipment?
Inside Sales Representatives for Champlain Valley Equipment are responsible for all aspects of creating, developing, and maintaining relationships with our walk-in customers: primarily homeowners and hobby farmers. Duties include, but are not limited to, promoting and selling compact utility, recreational, and other miscellaneous equipment. Our Inside Sales Representatives represent the whole company and our brand in prominent and significant settings.
Dealership hours are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to noon on most Saturdays.

Tasks
- Greet customers and ascertain underlying wants or needs.
- Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
- Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Maintain records related to sales.
- Demonstrate the use or operation of merchandise.
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired items.
- Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental.
- Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales.
Must-haves
Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to think independently, and have fundamental computer skills. We are willing to train the right person.
Offered compensation: $52,000/yr - $60,000/yr
