Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery, forestry equipment, and light construction equipment.
- Reassemble and test machines and equipment after repairs, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation.
- Inspect equipment, review reports, and communicate with customers to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Dismantle defective machines using appropriate tools for repair or replacement of parts.
- Test and replace electrical components and wiring using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, or saws.
- Clean and lubricate parts to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Tune or overhaul engines as needed.
- Assemble and inspect new equipment prior to delivery or use.
- Document details of repairs performed and parts used for accurate service records.
- Drive company trucks to transport tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery.
- Serve as a professional representative of Champlain Valley Equipment in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
