Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of before and after school activities to ensure they are engaging, educational, and aligned with school standards.
- Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to maintain a motivated and professional team.
- Oversee daily operations, including enrollment management, attendance tracking, safety protocols, and communication with parents and school administration.
- Develop and enhance program curricula by integrating educational best practices, child development principles, and creative enrichment activities.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, safety regulations, and school policies to provide a secure environment for children and staff.
- Manage administrative tasks using educational administrative software and productivity tools to streamline reporting, record keeping, and communication.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by providing leadership in team meetings, staff development initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in school administrative leadership or as a school administrative director within an educational setting.
- Strong background in early childhood education or childcare programs with demonstrated success in program development.
- Extensive staff supervision experience with personnel management in education environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and educational administrative software platforms.
- Excellent writing skills for documentation, reports, correspondence, and program materials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Background in higher education teaching or university experience is a plus but not required; relevant experience in education administration is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, children, and community partners to create a positive program atmosphere.
