Champions Site Director in Hood River School District

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Champions Site Director to lead and oversee the operations of our accredited After School Program in the Hood River School District. This pivotal role involves managing staff, developing programs, and ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, educational administrative experience, and a passion for fostering early childhood development. As the Site Director, you will be instrumental in creating a positive impact on children’s educational journeys while collaborating with district staff, families, and community partners to promote excellence in early education.

What you’ll do:

• Enrich the lives of school age kids from ages 5-12
• Work in ratio with staff & kids during program hours: Monday-Friday
• Implement KCE’s curriculum & and other fun activities for kids!
• Partner with parents and school personnel to cultivate positive lasting relationships!
• Create a safe, nurturing environment
• Partner & communicate with school faculty, families and community partners to create a caring and supportive program for students
• Supervise Children & complete hourly headcounts

Schedule:

• Program Hours: Monday – Friday

· After School: approx. 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM

· Site Directors work 32-36 hours per week – this includes time with kids and prep time. Schedule your prep time around your schedule outside of pre-set meetings!

• No Nights, No Weekends!

Qualifications:

-High school diploma, GED, or some College Courses accepted

-Lesson Planning proficiency or willingness to learn

-Effective Communication Skills

-Experience working with students

-Early childhood education background

-Preschool or school age teaching experience

-Preferred experience with leadership and program management – specifically coaching staff, scheduling and basic financial management (billing)

**Must be able to pass a background check through the Oregon Central Background Registry (CBR)

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 36.0 per week
