Freelance Video Editor (Contract for 6-months)

Overview

We’re looking for a skilled freelance video editor to support our video production team by creating high-performing short-form videos that drive engagement, leads, and conversion. This role requires an editor who not only understands performance marketing—but also knows how to leverage AI tools to accelerate video creation, concepting, and production.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and mid-form demand gen videos for paid social, paid search, email, and landing pages.
• Use AI-driven video tools (e.g., Runway, Sora-like platforms, ElevenLabs) to assist with voiceover, scene generation, and rapid content iteration.
• Combine existing Broll and AI-generated assets with traditional editing to produce polished, on-brand performance content.
• Transform raw footage, b-roll, product shots, and motion graphics into platform-optimized cuts.
• Create multiple versions and cutdowns tailored to platforms like Meta, YouTube, Pmax and Demand Gen placements.
• Add captions, titles, motion graphics, and light animation; enhance storytelling and pacing for performance.
• Collaborate closely with the demand gen and creative teams to interpret briefs, shape concepts, and improve videos based on feedback and performance data.
• Maintain organized project files, deliverables, and versioning for fast-moving campaigns.
  
  

Requirements

• 3 years of experience editing marketing, performance, or demand gen video content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in the video creation workflow (scene creation, VFX, captioning, VO, editing acceleration, etc.).
• Strong understanding of how to create thumb-stopping hooks and story structure for paid media.
• Deep knowledge of platform-specific video specs, best practices, and creative formats.
• Ability to work quickly, adapt edits to feedback or performance data, and manage multiple deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing both video editing skills and AI-enhanced creative work.
