What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Hauling Dispatcher position at CHAMPION TRUCKING COMPANY, INC.?
- Understands Dispatching roles/issues with Heavy Construction Equipment Hauling
- Demonstrates initiative & creativity to increase truck utilization
- Able to Plan/Assign loads to Drivers independently
- Knowledgeable and supports Safety, ELD, HOS & CSA communications with Drivers
- Knowledgeable and fully understands DOT Rules & Regulations Specifically Oversize/Overweight Loads
- Knowledgeable of Oversize/Overweight permitting processes throughout the U.S.
- Knowledgeable of Heavy Equipment hauling vehicles--RGN's Lowboys, Landolls, etc.
- Totally understand "Direct Supervision" of Drivers
- Required to handle After hours calls & problem solving 24/7 Access
- Communicates with Customers, other terminals, and Drivers appropriately via phone, email, text, etc. * Assists with Billing issues
- Skilled in all duties & responsibilities of Dispatch Administration
- Works well with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment trucking experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Strong listening skills
- Solid judgment and decision-making ability
- Ability to manage time
- Must have critical thinking skills
- Service oriented personality
- Strong ability to communicate and work in a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
